Getting Into the Right Room

I am a people pleaser by nature. I am also a core millennial workaholic, raised to believe that my value is tied to my productivity and to other people’s perception of me. I have spent far too many years trying to prove my worth in rooms that were never interested in seeing it.

Through LET’s Network, I am finally experiencing the power of getting into the right room.

For the first time, I have a space where I can fully lean into my skill set. I am seeing that my true strength isn’t working harder. It is creating opportunities for other women to shine. It is leading by example, taking risks, and being the person others can safely come to with new ideas, concerns, or fears.

I am learning that pouring too much energy into the wrong rooms will burn me out. Trying to do it all—managing a corporate job, a rapidly growing side business, and a household—is a direct path to burnout. Something has to shift.

There is a steep learning curve when you are trying to break the people‑pleasing and overworking tendencies that so many of us grew up with. Some of that work comes from recognizing where your time and energy hold real value. Some of it comes from accepting the uncomfortable reality that not every room will recognize that value, no matter how hard you try.

That is one of my favourite parts of building LET’s Network.

This community has become a powerful reminder of how brightly you can shine when you are finally in the right room. In this room, my strengths as a leader, a coach, and an operations‑minded thinker thrive. I have supported women in exploring new revenue streams, streamlining their business processes, and finding the confidence to step outside their comfort zones and take meaningful risks.

After our recent Find Your Glow session, I was reminded that it is not only acceptable but important to acknowledge your contributions. Even in a collaborative team like ours, it is healthy to recognize where your strengths make a difference.

And I want other women to experience that clarity, confidence, and alignment too.
