Using AI in Business: 3 Practical Ways We Save Time and Create Capacity
Updated: 6 days ago
I'm seeing alot of posts online about all the ways people can "tell you're using AI" and saying they won't support businesses using AI in their marketing. What I'm also noticing is these discussions often miss the opportunity to suggest other ways to use AI without "looking lazy" or crossing potential ethical boundaries.
This is where LET's Network can help. LET's Network has grown and flourished because of a community that believes in us, but also because of AI tools.
As busy moms with full-time careers outside of LET'S Network, we understand how limited your time is as a small business owner. We have taken calls while nap trapped, brought babies into the boardroom, and watched chaos unravel around us as we take Zoom meetings. We know how precious your time is because ours is precious too.
We want to flip the conversation from people listing all the reasons why you shouldn't use AI in your business, to showing you all the ways you can use it intentionally. AI imagery might not be your best choice for marketing materials, but AI makes a great writing partner when drafting policies and procedures.
At LET's Network, we're not using AI to replace our voices, ideas, or the relationships we've built with the community. We use it the same way we'd use any other tool:
INTENTIONALLY!
We've never been the type to keep secrets, so we want to share a few of the ways we're using AI in our business. The top three jobs AI takes on are below:
A Brainstorming Partner
Every entrepreneur knows what it's like to have a great idea floating around in their head but struggle to bring it to life. Sometimes we need help organizing our thoughts, finding a different angle, or asking better questions.
AI helps us move past the blank page. It doesn't replace our creativity, but it helps us get unstuck when our brains are already carrying a hundred other things.
An Executive Assistant
As much as we'd love to spend all day building connections and creating meaningful experiences, there's also a mountain of administrative work behind every event, podcast episode, workshop, and partnership.
AI helps us draft agendas, organize information, summarize notes, create checklists, and tackle some of the repetitive tasks that can easily consume our evenings and weekends.
The way we see it, if AI can save us an hour, that's an hour we can spend serving our community, supporting our families, or simply taking a breath.
An IT Support Person
Have you ever spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why a formula isn't working, how to update a website setting, or which button you're supposed to click in a new software program? We've been there.
AI has become our first stop when we're troubleshooting technology, learning new platforms, or trying to solve problems that would otherwise require hours of Googling, YouTube videos, or waiting on hold for support.
It's not perfect, but it's often enough to point us in the right direction.
At the end of the day, we believe the conversation shouldn't be about whether you're using AI. It should be about how you're using it.
Are you using it to cut corners, or are you using it to create capacity?
For us, AI has never been about replacing human connection. If anything, it's helped us create more time for the conversations, relationships, and experiences that matter most.
And as busy moms building a business alongside full-time careers, we'll take all the help we can get.
